by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioSt. Paul, Minn. — Since the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, All Things Considered has been following up with Minnesota organizations on the ground with relief and rebuilding efforts there.
Haiti Outreach is an organization based in Minnetonka that was founded 13 years ago. They had been doing community development in Pignon, Haiti, but after the earthquake - like most organizations with Haiti ties -- it has been pitching in with earthquake relief.
Neil Van Dine is Country Director for Haiti Outreach. He lives in Haiti and is in Minnesota to assist with fundraising. He talked with Tom Crann about the situation in Haiti and the conditions of the tent cities Haitians are living in while the country rebuilds.
