Minn. GOP endorses congressional candidates

State Republicans have endorsed three candidates hoping to unseat three incumbent Democratic congressmen.

The party on Saturday endorsed Chip Cravaack in the 8th District, which is currently represented by U.S. Rep. Jim Oberstar. Cravaack is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a military veteran.

In the 7th District, the endorsement went to Willmar businessman Lee Byberg. He would challenge U.S. Rep Collin Peterson.

Joel Demos garnered the endorsement for the 5th District. The congressman who represents that district now is U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison.
