St. Paul, Minn. — Gov. Pawlenty and Republican legislative leaders say they have a proposal to break the impasse over how to provide health insurance for the poor.
They met with DFL leaders on the proposal Tuesday night, but didn't release details.
The meeting comes after Democrats in the Minnesota House failed to override Pawlenty's veto of a bill that would extend GAMC, a health care program for the poor, for another 16 months.
