It's been six weeks since the earthquake in Haiti, and many of the first-and second waves of humanitarian workers who went to Haiti immediately after the quake are coming home to regroup and revisit their day jobs.

MPR has been following up with some of those relief workers from Minnesota to get some insight into the situation on the ground there.

Among them is Dr. Peter Melchert, an internist and pediatrician who is medical director of Children's Surgery International and is in internal medicine and a pediatric hospitalist at Abbott Northwestern and Children's Hospital. Melchert went to Haiti just two weeks after the earthquake and spoke with Kerri Miller on MPR's Midmorning from Port-au-Prince.

He just returned from Haiti again after about a month in the country, and he joined Tom Crann to talk about the situation there.
