Minnesota boasts strong showing at Olympics
by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioSt. Paul, Minn. — Minnesota is sending more Olympians to Vancouver this winter than any other state in the U.S.
According to the U.S. Olympic Committee website, there are now 20 Minnesotans have earned a spot on Team USA, not counting athletes like Lindsay Vonn who no longer live in the state.
That's nearly 1/10th of this year's Winter Olympics roster. Minnesotans have had a long tradition of strong representation in the Winter Games. Minnesota sports author Ross Bernstein joined Tom Crann to talk about Minnesota's strong showing.
