St. Paul, Minn. — Minnesota composer, David Evan Thomas, has written music for all varieties of groups - from choral works for the National Lutheran Choir to chamber music for piano and other instruments to songs of profound color and meaning.

Thomas' "Valentines" for piano and violin receives its premiere this Sunday, Valentines Day, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with SPCO violinist, Dale Barltrop and pianist, Stephanie Wendt.

Two summers ago during the Schubert Club Summer Song Festival soprano, Karen Clift, and pianist, Timothy Lovelace, performed an extended piece by David Evan Thomas titled "Come to the Waters."

A deft and lilting work, it is in this week's Regional Spotlight.
