A study out today from the University of Minnesota found that efforts to plant more trees is not likely to be enough to reduce carbon emissions in our region.

A big part of the push to reduce global warming has centered on attempts to plant new forests and restore prairies, but the study out today from the University of Minnesota has found those efforts aren't likely to make enough of a dent to offset carbon dioxide emissions.

The reason? Not enough available land for planting. Ed Nater, a professor in the Soil, Water and Climate department at the U of M, joined Tom Crann to talk about the study.
