Vikings-Dallas matchup recalls 1975 showdown

The Minnesota Vikings' coaches and players continue their preparations to face the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Divisional playoff game.

The Vikings face off against "America's team" on Mall of America Field -- that's the Metrodome -- Sunday at noon. Longtime Vikings' fans are aware that the two teams have had a long and at times ignominious history of playoff matchups.

For a history lesson, All Things Considered invited Jim Klobuchar to talk about the matchup.

Klobochar covered the NFL for years for the Minneapolis newspapers and has written several books on the Vikings and the NFL. Today, he covers sports for MinnPost.
