The best of the Youth Radio Series

St. Paul, Minn. — The latest MPR News Presents broadcast showcases all the 2009 stories in the Youth Radio Series, with commentary from producer Sasha Aslanian on the making of the series.

Part 1 of the program includes stories about economic struggles such as welfare migration, payday loans and homelessness.

Part 2 includes stories about new immigrants to Minnesota and their challenges -- a Hmong daughter, finding a home through language, the TRiO Program helping students go to college, and a brave mother who inspires her daughter.
