A view from inside the Petters trialby Tom Crann, Minnesota Public Radio
Tom Petters's conviction for operating a Ponzi scheme here in Minnesota, is bringing back ill-gotten money from Ohio.
On Friday, the President of Miami University in southwest Ohio said his institution will return more than $350,000 that came from Petters. The Minnesota businessman had pledged to give the university $14 million, some of which was supposed to build a "center for leadership, ethics and skills development" at the university's business school.
Petters was convicted on Wednesday of 20 counts of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. Tom Crann got a glimpse inside the jury room with Michelle Entsminger, one of the jurors on the trial. She's joined him to talk more about the deliberations in the high-profile case.
