Fresh Faces in the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra
November 23, 2009
St. Paul, Minn. —
There are two new faces -- and musical voices -- on stage at the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra this fall. Violinist Sunmi Chang left her native South Korea at age 14 to study in London at the Yehudi Menuhin school, in Berlin at the Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule, and in Princeton at Yale University. Cellist David Huckaby comes to Minnesota from Georgia, by way of Boston's New England Conservatory, and the Juilliard School in New York.
To welcome them to Minnesota, and introduce them to you, we invited them to the studio for music and conversation. And they generously prepared a brilliant duo performance of a Handel Passacaglia, just for Classical Minnesota Public Radio!
