St. Paul, Minn. — After many independent labels and attempts to break into the international music scene, Fanfarlo took things into their own hands and released their album for $1 on their Web site. The result? A national tour of the United States and plenty of international dates as well.

The London group plays beautiful, folky music with touches of traditional European music blended into larger American folk themes.

The band's new album, "Reservoir," has been a critical success, and appearances at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas have increased their national profile.

Fanfarlo stopped by The Current studios for a live performance and chat.

Songs performed: "Ghosts," "I'm A Pilot" and "Finish Line."
