Officials rule dead man found in truck a homicide

Lakeland Shores, Minn. — Law enforcement officials are investigating an apparent homicide, after finding a dead man inside a vehicle in Washington County on Tuesday.

Someone flagged down a sheriff's deputy in the lower St. Croix Valley area at 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday to report a suspicious vehicle, according to a statement by the Washington County Sheriff's office.

The deputy found a dead man inside a white 1997 Dodge Ram in Lakeland Shores. Sheriff's officials described the victim as a Hispanic man in his mid to late '30s. His name has not been released, pending notification of kin.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide.
