Train fatality in Winona ruled an accident

St. Paul, Minn. — Police in Winona said Tuesday that an incident a day earlier in which a 51-year-old man was hit and killed by a train appears to be an accident.

Winona Police Chief Paul Bostrack identified the victim as Bruce Edward Streng of Winona.

Streng was walking at the Johnson Street crossing at 6:44 a.m. on Monday when he was hit and killed by an eastbound Canadian Pacific Railway train.
