Sioux Falls cathedral to get $16M makeover

Sioux Falls, S.D. (AP) — The oldest cathedral in Sioux Falls is getting a $16 million makeover.

The St. Joseph Cathedral renovation is expected to be done in 2011.

Most of the 90-year-old building will be gutted and refurbished. Renovations will include electrical system upgrades, the replacement of a 35-year-old stone floor with marble, and the installation of an air conditioning system and sound system.
