Officials ID victim in fatal weekend crash

St. Paul, Minn. — The Hennepin County medical examiner's office has released the name of the 32-year-old Lakeville man who was killed over the weekend when his car hit a traffic light in Minneapolis.

Matthew John Severson died at about 1 a.m. Sunday at 31st Street and Nicollet Avenue S., according to the medical examiner's office.

A passenger in the vehicle, Lisa Fitch, 32, of Lakeville, remains in serious condition at Hennepin County Medical Center.
