Local health provider launches innovative care program

St. Paul, Minn. — Fairview Health Services is rolling out an experimental new way of delivering health care to cut costs and improve the quality of patient care.

If it succeeds, it will receive millions of dollars from health insurer Medica and implement a new system that puts more responsibility in the hands of patients and medical staff.
