Storms batter Lake Superior's north shore

Grand Marais, Minn. — High-speed winds along Highway 61 along the north shore of Lake Superior stirred up impressive waves this weekend. Wind gusts hit 50 mph in Duluth, which knocked trees onto a power line and left 1,200 customers without power, the Duluth News-Tribune reported.
