Man's body pulled from Mississippi near U of M

September 18, 2009

Minneapolis (AP) — The body of a man who apparently slipped while climbing a fence has been recovered from the Mississippi River near the University of Minnesota campus.

University police responded to a call about the accident shortly before 2 a.m. Friday. The man's body was recovered about an hour later.

Minneapolis police and Hennepin County authorities are investigating.
