Despite refunds, Clarkson's cancellation irks fans
Even after flying to St. Paul and rehearsing hours before she was scheduled to perform, pop star Kelly Clarkson canceled her grandstand show last night at the Minnesota State Fair due to vocal issues.
Brienna Schuette, marketing and communications manager for the fair, said ticket holders will get refunds.
Tickets purchased at the state fair box office can be mailed along with credit card information and expiration date to get the refund, she said. People who purchased their tickets with cash will be mailed refund checks. Those who bought their tickets through Ticketmaster will get an immediate credit if they used a credit card.
Some fans have complained via Twitter that they should be compensated for the price of attending the fair.

"Kelly Clarkson you owe me $20 for parking, $11 for admission and $30 for the food I ate - for canceling at the State Fair!" Twitter user redquake wrote Sunday night.
"What about the $5 bus ride? and the $11 to get into the fair? what are you going to do about that kelly clarkson?" Twitter user julesdash added.
Schuette said the fair had no comment, other than: "It's all part of spending the day here at the fair."
She added that ticket holders were able to attend a concert by Eric Hutchinson, originally a supporting act for Clarkson, while still receiving a full refund.
