St. Paul, Minn. — If the Silversun Pickups went to school in songwriting, they'd get an F. They aren't know for follow any of the rules - bridges and chorus. Their first hit "Lazy Eye" didn't follow any of the conventions of songwriting - including a bridge or any sort of chorus - but they still create complete and compelling songs.

Originating out of the Silver Lake area in Los Angeles, Silversun Pickups' name comes from a liquor and convenience store across from the Silverlake Lounge and near their house. Their second album "Swoon" was released in April of 2009.

Songs performed: "Panic Switch," "Substitution," and "Lazy Eye."
