Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson on Radio Heartland
by Dale Connelly, Minnesota Public RadioSt. Paul, Minn. — Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson both come from Australia, but from different musical genres. Chambers had already cemented a spot in the pop and country musical world, while Nicholson came more from the rock and roots world. The two met while singing together on a recording project and that's where the magic began.
Kasey grew up singing and playing with her father Bill and brother Nash. Now Shane has joined the tour and, along with Kasey, has written several new songs. They've since married, have two children between them, and have made a splash in country music with their first duo album, "Rattlin' Bones."
The record has been nominated for several industry awards already both in the U.S. and Australia.
Songs performed: "Once In A While," "Sweetest Waste of Time," and "Woe Is Mine."
