St. Paul, Minn. — The three H's tonight at the Minnesota Orchestra: Haydn, Hanson and a new work by Jennifer Higdon. Grammy-award nominee Jennifer Koh plays an unusual concerto "Singing Rooms" tonight on the Minnesota Orchestra Broadcast.

There's nothing quite like it in the repertoire -- a solo work for violin, orchestra and chorus. Higdon's piece is unique and uses all of the voices to their fullest potential.

The Minnesota, Philadelphia and Atlanta Orchestras teamed up to commission this new piece, which features Jennifer Koh, a violinist nominated for a Grammy for her disc that includes another work by Jennifer Higdon, "String Poetic."
