St. Paul, Minn. —
Minnesota is blessed to have such a rich tradition of choral music and so many performing ensembles.
Two Minnesota-based national touring choirs are performing together this weekend in a concert titled, "Soul," featuring the music of Gabrieli, William Byrd and new arrangements of traditional gospel songs.
We pushed the piano to the side and made room for both ensembles in the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Music Studio to hear a few excerpts from the upcoming show and a chat with Classical Minnesota Public Radio's Steve Staruch.
Songs performed, "Ye Shall Have a Song" (Randall Thompson) and "Hold On" (arr. Marques Garrett)
