Andy Sturdevant is a writer and artist in Minneapolis. He took in "Deep North," an exhibition featuring a short video of the same name as well as multi-media sculptures and images by artist Chris Larson. His work is being shown at the Chambers Burnet Art Gallery through June 13.

Maria Jette is a classical soprano in the Twin Cities. She recommends Leos Janacek's opera Jenufa, which we don't often get the chance to see. It's being performed in English by the University of Minnesota Opera Theatre through Sunday, April 26.

Katryn Conlin is a freelance graphic designer and bass player for the bluegrass band Long Time Gone. She's a big fan of bluegrass musician Mother Banjo's first full-length album, The Sad and Found. The CD release party is tonight at the Cedar Cultural Center.
