St. Paul, Minn. — Andrew Bird, a Chicago native, has been charming fans with his loop filled, whistling songwriting since the late '90s.

Finding his beginnings in The Squirrel Nut Zippers and his rock group "A Bowl of Fire," Andrew Bird grew his folk/rock loop-filled whistling songwriting style into his signature solo sound. He released his fifth solo album in 2009, titled, Noble Beast.

Andrew Bird and his Minneapolis all-star band stopped by The UBS Forum at Minnesota Public Radio and performed an intimate show in front of a live studio audience.

Songs performed: "Fitz and the Dizzy Spells", "Anonanimal", "Oh No", "Effigy" and "Imitosis".
