Art Hounds: Week of March 26by Chris Roberts, Minnesota Public Radio
Each week Minnesota Public Radio News asks three people from the Minnesota arts scene to be "Art Hounds." Their job is to step outside our own work and hunt down something exciting that's going on this weekend.
Mo Perry is an actress in the Twin Cities. She's excited to see Theater Latte Da's "Passage of Dreams," a world premiere of three one-act musicals. "Passage of Dreams" is on stage at the Southern Theater through April 5.
Patricia Briggs is an assistant professor at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Patricia strongly recommends "Live Forever: Elizabeth Peyton," an exhibition of paintings by artist Elizabeth Peyton at the Walker Art Center. "Live Forever" is on the walls of the Walker through June 14.
Janis Lane-Ewart is executive director of KFAI Fresh Air Radio in Minneapolis. Janis Ewart will be in the audience when the Blue Note Records 70th Anniversary tour stops at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. It features younger artists such as Ravi Coltrane and Lewis Nash interpreting some of the Blue Note giants, including Horace Silver and Sonny Rollins. The concert is at 2 p.m.
