St. Paul, Minn. — English rock band The Duke Spirit were founded on one of music's most time-honored traditions: singer Liela Moss and guitarist Luke Ford met in art school and dropped out to form a band.

They formed in 2003, releasing their first album in the U.K. on Loog Records/Polydor in May 2005. In April of 2007 the band went to work on their second album, "Neptune", which was released in February 2008.

In Feb 2009, The Duke Spirit released a collection of past and present material exclusively through Target stores.

Songs performed: "My Sunken Treasure," "The Step and The Walk," and "Send A Little Love Token."
