The Republican party's new leader, former Maryland lieutenant governor Michael Steele, says the GOP needs to stop the Democrats from enacting a stimulus package and be more critical of President Obama's cabinet choices. The current session of Congress began with a whiff of bipartisanship, but so far politics appear polarized.
