Pawlenty expresses confidence ahead of recount

Gov. Tim Pawlenty says he's confident the recount in Minnesota's Senate race will be fair.

Pawlenty appeared Sunday on "Fox News Sunday" and was asked about the race between Republican Sen. Norm Coleman and Democrat Al Franken.

Coleman leads the race by 206 votes ahead of a statewide recount that's set to begin Wednesday.

The Republican governor says Minnesota has a history of transparent, accurate, fair and legal elections.

He also says despite rumors, there hasn't been any evidence of wrongdoing or fraud in the vote counting process.

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie and four judges make up a canvassing board that will deal with any disputes that come up during the recount.
