St. Paul, Minn. —
Erik Paulsen will become Minnesota's newest U.S. Representative. The Republican beat DFL opponent Ashwin Madia by an almost 8 percent margin to win Minnesota's 3rd Congressional District.
He's one of the few, new Republicans elected into the 111th Congress.
Paulsen will replace the retiring Jim Ramstad in January.
He joined Minnesota Public Radio's Tom Crann to talk about his freshman year plans.
