Newspaper editors explain their U.S. Senate endorsements

Newspaper editors at three papers in Minnesota discuss the reasons behind their endorsements. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Mordecai Specktor, the Editor and Publisher of the American Jewish World, which has endorsed Democrat Al Franken in the U.S. Senate race. She also spoke with Randy Krebs of the St. Cloud Times, which has endorsed Dean Barkley of the Independence Party, and Bill Hannah, executive editor of the Mesabi Daily News. That newspaper has endorsed Republican incumbent Norm Coleman.
