Cultural critic Greil Marcus, who has written for Rolling Stone for decades, and is an expert on Bob Dylan is teaching a special course at the U of M this fall.
Later today in the first of two public lectures Marcus will interview film director Todd Haynes.
St. Paul, Minn. — Haynes made the acclaimed Bob Dylan biography "I'm Not There" last year, which used seven different actors, and many musicians, to portray Dylan during different parts of his life.
Marcus says "I'm Not There" is a remarkable film.
Marcus will also introduce a screening of Haynes film "I'm Not There" at the Walker Art Center november 1st.
And of course Dylan will return to his alma mater to play a sold out concert at Northrop Auditorium on Election Night, November 4.
