Welcoming the fall colors of Minnesotaby Tom Crann, Minnesota Public Radio
St. Paul, Minn. — It should be a good weekend for enjoying the fall colors -- and by many accounts this year's display is one of the best in a long time. According to the Department of Natural Resources, leaves are between 50 and 100% of their peak fall color in MOST of the state this weekend. But prairie grasses in southwest Minnesota's state parks are also putting on an autumn display.
Tom Crann talked to Northwest Region DNR Parks Resource Specialist Chris Weir-Koetter about what's making this season's leaves so stunning.
