Thousands march to protest war
September 1, 2008
On Monday, the first day of the Republican National Convention, approximately 10,000 people marched in downtown St. Paul to protest the Iraq war. While smaller groups of protesters split off and caused trouble elsewhere in the city, the main demonstration was colorful but peaceful.
