President, U.S. Senate, Congress, and the Minnesota House of Representatives are the major races in the campaign of 2008. This is the first presidential election without an incumbent or sitting vice president involved since 1952.

The Democratic National Convention gets underway tonight in Denver. Our convention coverage this evening features a preview of the major speeches, to be delivered by Michelle Obama, Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, and perhaps Ted Kennedy, who may make a surprise appearance.
