The Naked Economist examines campaign rhetoric
During the political season, talk of the economy comes sprinkled with tax breaks, rebates and promises of more jobs. Economist Charles Wheelan argues that while these promised incentives may make consumers feel better temporarily, they don't help with the big problems of debt and reduced home values.
