The status of Green Bay Packers' quarterback Brett Favre remains uncertain.
Favre met with Packers' coach Mike McCarthy late into the night, and the two reportedly agreed to postpone a news conference where they were to discuss the quarterback's status.
The NFL officially reinstated Favre yesterday, clearing the way for his return to the Packers. Favre had announced his retirement after last season.
Meanwhile, an NFL commissioner ruled that contact between Favre and the Minnesota Vikings this summer did not violate league tampering rules.
