St. Paul, Minn. — The band The Hold Steady was formed in 2000 after vocalist/guitarist Craig Finn moved to New York City from Minneapolis. They released their debut CD "Almost Killed Me" in 2004 and it's been nonstop for the band ever since.

Just a year later, the band put out "Separation Sunday," their second CD and in 2006 they dropped their third CD, "Boys and Girls in America".

In July of 2008, The Hold Steady dropped their fourth CD and most heavily produced effort, "Stay Positive," under some pretty major buzz in the music industry.

When most bands take three years in between musical offerings, The Hold Steady has released four CDs in five years.

Songs performed: "Constructive Summer," "Sequestered In Memphis," "Lord, I'm Discouraged," and "Cheyenne Sunrise."
