Performing arts organizations usually slow down during the summer. But in Minneapolis, the warm weather months are also excellent opportunities for audiences to watch new plays in the process of being born.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer talked with Morning Edition arts commentator and St. Paul Pioneer Press theater critic Dominic Papatola about two of the area's main play incubators happening this month.
