by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioJune 18, 2008
St. Paul, Minn. — By some estimates, more than five million acres of farmland across the Midwest have been ruined by flooding so far this season. Most of the land is located in Iowa and Wisconsin, but areas of Illinois and southern Minnesota are also impacted.
In many of those fields, there will be no crop this year. Others may have a chance at getting a limited crop in the fields.
University of Minnesota Extension Agent Doug Holen joined Tom Crann to discuss whats next for farmers with flooded fields.
