New book tells story of world famous horse

A new book tells the story of Minnesota's own Dan Patch, one of the most beloved horses in American history.

In 1906, the harness racer breezed around a mile-long oval at the Minnesota State Fair in 1:55. It was an amazing achievement.

Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Charles Leerhsen, an executive editor at Sports Illustrated and the author of "Crazy Good: The True Story of Dan Patch, the Most Famous Horse in America."
