Bachmann puzzled by Forest Lake school decision

St. Paul, Minn. — Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., says she's baffled by Forest Lake High School's decision to cancel a visit by the National Heroes Tour on Tuesday.

The school canceled the visit featuring veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan out of concerns that possible protests would turn it into a political event.

Bachmann said she was invited to honor the troops.

The local American Legion center hosted the tour after Forest Lake High School canceled the visit.

Vets for Freedom is run by a 1999 Forest Lake graduate.
