St. Paul, Minn. — Reporter Elizabeth Rubin spent time with a company of soldiers fighting insurgents in Afghanistan.

She found a complicated balance between attacking and earning the trust of the people who live in the middle of a war zone.

Midmorning also speaks with an Afghanistan analyst on his recent trip to the eastern part of the country.
