John Doe performs live from SXSW

by Bill DeVille, Minnesota Public Radio
March 15, 2008

Austin, TX — Founding-member of the '80s punk band X, John Doe started a solo career in 1990 while X was on break with his debut "Meet John Doe," which slanted towards roots-oriented country and rockabilly. Even as X reunited, he continued to release solo albums and playing with his other side project, The Knitters.

With only four songs in hand and a pre-determined release day, "A Year in the Wilderness" was released last year.

Songs performed: "A Little More Time," "Mama Don't," "Forever For You," and "Golden State."
