Minnesota considers multiple ways to tackle home foreclosures
by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioSt. Paul, Minn. — That proposal in Minneapolis is just one of many policies city and state governments are considering to dampen the effect of the foreclosure crisis.
Minnesota is on pace to see over 3,300 home foreclosures this year.
For an overview of the crisis in Minnesota, we called on Tim Marx. He's Commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, which helps low and moderate-income people get into affordable housing.
He said any big-picture look at the mortgage crisis should start with the good news.
