What a Delta-Northwest merger may mean

A merger between Northwest Airlines and Delta may be in danger. Pilots of the two airlines have not yet reached agreement on seniority, though other issues apparently have been worked out. Some say the merger will help both airlines and perhaps the industry. But others say if the merger is chaotic, passengers will suffer.
