Rising country star pens song for 35W bridge benefit CD

by Cathy Wurzer, Minnesota Public Radio
February 20, 2008

A new CD benefits the survivors and families of the 35W bridge collapse. The CD collects almost 60 songs from musicians all over the country -- musicians like Los Lobos, Beausoleil, and the Stray Cats.

The first track on the CD, and the only one written especially for this project, is by country music singer Rockie Lynne.

Lynne spends much of his time in Nashville these days, but his career got started here in Minnesota. He's on the country music charts right now with his new single, "I Can't Believe It's Me."

Rockie Lynne stopped by the studio to talk with MPR's Cathy Wurzer.
