Local medical devices companies being bought up
St. Paul, Minn. — Coon Rapids-based cardiovascular device manufacturer Possis Medical is being acquired for about $361 million. The company signed a merger agreement this week with Pensylvania-based MEDRAD Inc., an affiliate of Bayer HealthCare, one of the world's largest healthcare and medical product companies.
And, this is just one of several recent examples of local med tech companies being bought out.
