GLBT equality leader stepping down from OutFront Minnesota

February 8, 2008

St. Paul, Minn. — After leading the movement for gay and lesbian equality in Minnesota for 21 years, Ann DeGroot is stepping back.

Today is DeGroot's last day as the Executive Director of OutFront Minnesota, the state's largest advocacy group for gay, lesbian, bisexul and transgender (GLBT) rights and issues.

The organization's co-founder, DeGroot was recognized earlier today for her work and longevity at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's annual conference.

To talk about how GLBT issues have evolved throughout her career, Ann DeGroot joined Tom Crann from the Creating Change conference in Detroit.
